On 29-30
september 2017, ALAM has organized a camp for new intake cadet 2017. The camp
was held at Nawawi's Cottage, in Negeri Sembilan. 56 participants, 20
facilitators and 4 observers were involved. The participants were not only
cadets ,but the ratings were also involved in this camping. Camping is a must
for every junior cadet in ALAM, each year almost 2 series of camping will be
held in various places
The purpose
of this camp is to foster a cooperative spirit between cadets and ratings and to
test their mental strength. The participants will be tested with many kind of
obstacle to test their mental abilities.

Various
activities held during the 3 days 2 nights camp. For example are night walks, cooking,
performances, ‘sarang musang’, survival and orientering activities. They were
divided into 7 groups with each group using the flower name as the group name.
For night-time
activities, participants will be released to walk to the finish line in the
forest alone without using light. This activity is held to test their level of
courage. Facilitators will seat along the track and try to disturb them during
the activity.
For ‘sarang
musang’ , participants will be blinded and given one item. they are required to
keep the items up to the end of the game. They will also walk only with the
rope tied to the tree. This is to test cooperation between each other.
