Playing the Chinese flute

Playing the flute has always been my dream. I love to hear the sound of the flute as to me, it is very smooth and melodic. I started playing the flute on 2016 September and have been playing it ever since. Initially I wanted to play western flute, but was turned of by the high price. So I ended up playing the Chinese flute and started to love it.

When I first started to play the flute, it was really tough. I went through a very steep learning curve before I'm able to play a whole song. I only have a class every month as I'm studying in a different state from my hometown and I don't get to go back every weekend. I used to play the flute in my hostel but I later got complaints that the flute is very noisy, since then I moved to the clubhouse in my school to play. Now I regularly practice in the clubhouse. I try to allocate atleast 5 hours of practice in a week in my busy schedule.

My biggest achievement while playing the flute was in 2017 May, when I was told by the school to perform during the convocation of my seniors. I practice extremely hard and that was the time where I improved really fast. I enjoyed those time when I practice with my school's band team for the convocation performance.

Playing the flute has already become part of my life, it is more than just a hobby to past time. I will continue to play regardless where I am, even when I'm going to sea, I'm still going to bring my flute a long.
