During the Deepavali holidays, I was invited by my friend Vicky, to come to Ipoh to celebrate Deepavali. I went on the 16th of October and came back on the 18th of December. Ipoh has always been well known for its food, for an example salted chicken, Ipoh style chicken rice and the famous Ipoh white coffee. I was not disappointed by the food I had at Ipoh.

After arrival at Ipoh, Vicky brought me around to try the famous Ipoh white coffee at Kedai Kopi Sin Yin Loong. We also had the Ipoh style chicken rice which is very different from the Hainanese style chicken rice. You have an option to choose whether you want rice or "kuew teow" soup

During the night time, Vivky, his friends and I went to the Deepavali bazaar at Ipoh town. It was very crowded and everyone was having fun. During the eve of Deepavali, Vicky's family lit firecrackers and fireworks.

On Deepavali day itself, I had breakfast with Vicky's family. I had 6 pieces of delicious Tosai made by Vicky's mom. After having the somewhat late breakfast, it is time to head back home and Vicky sent me off to the train station
